Socurio is a dynamic art marketplace and creative community offering original art for sale by hundreds of artists from all around the globe. We make art more accessible to the world by connecting buyers with emerging to established artists, while providing a platform for artists to make a living without giving up their artistic vision.

To the Artist:
Socurio allows artists to showcase their art both online and at organized live events in the cities in which they live. Free Membership gives artists a virtual studio to display their art, while select members, dubbed Masters or Socuriosts, can sell their art in the celebrated Socurio Gallery. Other features include artistic groups, a community powered calendar, and a localized posting board to find and solicit work throughout local communities.
To the Art Collector and Enthusiast:
Socurio allows collectors to create and display their virtual art collections and continues to develop new initiatives to celebrate it. New Collectors (Benefactors) can participate in all aspects of the community with the exception of uploading works. This includes artistic blogs, groups, and the localized calendar and postings board. Benefactors become Patrons as they invest more time and energy in the community.
To the General Public:
Socurio is grounded in the principle that art is fluid, dynamic, and appreciated by people from all demographics and walks of life. From the artist painting in a studio, to the lawyer practicing in a down town skyscraper, Socurio is a place meant to enhance the innate creativity contained in our personal and professional lives. Our vision is to provide an online forum for people to collaborate and grow as individuals and as artists by Empowering the Creative in all of us.
How Socurio Works
Socurio contains four components that all work seamlessly together in order to provide a community powered platform that empowers the user.
1. Socurio Gallery:
Think Amazon, but only for art, and only with really talented sellers!
2. Create:
Think Facebook, but where your wall is dedicated to all things art
The create section contains each members loft, which is meant to be an extension of the user’s artistic self and studio. Here, members can upload their art, display collected works, share thoughts and influences, and manage their various involvements in the Socurio community. Create your Loft
3. Communicate:
Think about Evite and your local city events calendar
The communicate page contains artistic groups and discussions (juntos) and a local community calendar, powered by the community, to guide users on their creative journey. Juntos are created by members and available for all to join and participate. Junto categories range from such esoteric subjects as the abstract expressionist movement to more popular topics such as why the ipod is the technology of choice for users.
4. Collaborate:
Think of Craiglist and the Yellow Pages, but for Art and Artists
The Collaborate section features a robust search tool to allow users to find specific types of art and artists based on various criteria, including statistical performance on Socurio.
The Socurio Posting board contains local and national projects where members are looking to solicit or find services.
Collecting works
Collecting a piece of art on Socurio or having art collected is a key component for membership advancement in the community, both as an Artist and as a Collector. By Collecting a piece of art from a Socurio artists, users can join the growing community of individuals committed to making a difference. Building an online collection while Socurio continues to develop new ways to celebrate it is what this program is all about.
