I approach my art like a child playing a game, this attitude allows me to add and subtract until I feel that I am expressing exactly what is happening to me in my life.
I have a pretty good idea of where I want to go when I start, but I find that when I've arrived at the end it is not at all where I started . I move and remove, change my mind, leave the pieces for months and then look at them with new eyes. I like to use organic materials in my collages, and I like to show in my collages and paintings that we are not just surface, that there is much more going on underneath that is so much more interesting, we are so much more connected to our planet than we would like to admit.
