Ruth is originally from Montreal and currently resides in Toronto Canada. She has taken stills for National Film Board documentaries, including \'A Joy of Singing, about Claude Corbeil and Maureen Forrester teaching master voice classes in China, and the Stratford Festival Theatre\'s mounting of three Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. Her photographs have appeared in NFB promotional material, Maclean\'s and Time magazines. Ruth has shown her work at Contact 2009, where her images were noted by Toronto Life as one of fifty best bets, Contact 2010 at the Gladstone Hotel, Toronto Image Works, the Little Art Show, Hang Man Gallery, the Riverdale Artwalk, and the Queen West Art Crawl. Recently, a few of Ruth\'s burlesque photographs from the Montreal Burlesque Festival 2010 have been published in the book \'Burlesque The True Art of Seduction\' - Micheal Grondin and Scarlett James 2011 In film and digital formats, Ruth remains true to her documentary roots capturing images as dictated by the subject and setting with little or no manipulation.
