My work started from the fascination/exploration of obsessively repeating a microscopic theme and then breaking this pattern creating organized chaos. I was dazzled by the almost magic feeling of creating a total new image and meaning from small photographic details. Moreover I liked the physical feeling of creating through mixed media and materials as if this reconnected me to the practical, down to earth, messy work if compared to the more aseptic and precise digital images. Even on this matter I like to work with both techniques. I start planning and assembling a sketch on the computer in order to have full control over the composition and then I get to work with paper, paint, wood, etc. Often the limitations or flexibility of the various media lead to a total new route and final piece, breaking the rules and becoming something else from what planned.
