I was born in Kastamonu, a town in Northern Turkey close to the Black Sea. I currently live in Ankara. I received a B.A. Degree in Sociology from the Middle East Technical University. After working for Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) in various roles such as specialist, coordinator, and manager of planning and head of television for 36 years, I retired in 2008. I started painting in 2005. I have been exhibiting my paintings since then in solo and group exhibitions. http://www.nilgunartun.com
