I have received my BFA from San Jose State University, CA. I work in three mediums, Oil paintings, Mosaics and Etchings. My work is very diverse and distinct in each of these mediums. As an oil painter, I create original abstract expressionist paintings on canvas. My work is influenced by the New York school "action painters". Abstract expressionism takes place with very little direct thinking on the part of the artist; the work is best realized when the work comes directly from the subconscious mind. My mosaics are an interplay of vibrant colors and textures. I am working on a series of mosaics called Colors of the East which have an almost jewel like visual effect. The etchings on the other hand are figurative, black and white prints. Female
