soCurio | art is for everyone

Having grown up in the Upper Midwest Plains I found an early love for nature and the out-of-doors. I have always spent as much of my time, limited as it was, away from the hustle and bustle of civilization as possible. Nature has always called to me and I have always tried to answer. To me that answering was to “see” and help others see what was put on earth for their enjoyment. When a dear friend helped me to slow down my hectic life and to really look at nature and how Mother Natures’ pace could make my life better. I realized I could influence how other feel through my imagery. I look at, and photograph, what ever I find visually interesting at the moment and worry about the edit for later. Having found that the creative moment passes quickly and it needs to be acted upon immediately, at least for future reference, quite often the emotion is gone, done, finis, never to happen again and all you have is that one moment you acted-or-reacted. Very often we look but never see. We have become so visually and emotionally impaired by our society, we are always in a hurry, or we see that same thing so often we no longer recognize our surroundings or emotions.
