Painting wild animals is a challenging and often overlooked genre in the field of fine art today, yet humans have lived with animal imagery since the time the first cavemen depicted them on their walls. Nothing excites me more than to observe an animal and take the challenge to portray them in a provocative and dignified manner. Nature is an endless source of inspiration providing me with spectacular scenes of color and light, design and texture and so many challenges. I work from first hand observation, plein air studies and photographs I have formed in the field.
