Hello World, My name is Nicholas Hernandez and I am an apparel/graphic designer as well as a mixed media artist. Born and raised in California, I have come to the realization that I live in the best place on earth. We have it all here, from the ocean to the snow. I am a very active person and love the outdoors and trying new things. Experimentation with art has always fascinated me growing up, especially when I was finding my own style of art. The art that you see is an artillery series that I just completed and had a show in Los Angeles. I wanted to play with the idea of danger and playfulness, thus the juxtoposition of little children making toys out of weapons. I wanted to show the innocence of children and how they are subject to something greater in life. All of the art shown is created on wood with a 1 1/2" base. The media consists of plaster, acrylic, metal, and epoxy resin.
