I photograph because I must. In my personal work, what I photograph is less important than why. I am equally comfortable photographing in urban settings, industrial wastelands, in a forest or in a junkyard. Light, shape, line, form, space, texture and colour are the elements that come together, speaking to me and through me to reveal my subject. These are the things that I am drawn to and compelled to photograph, regardless of subject.
