Always a career Artist, for years I turned my creative talents to the design and hands-on building of custom home projects. Thus I could create for the client an outdoor "sculpture" that also functioned as a deck, or turn a boring living area into a modern artwork. I also had the privilege to serve as ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE for the City of Rockville, MD from December, 1992 to February, 1994. During my tenure I developed many instructional classes and educational programs and, until recently, assisted the gallery directors each month in new Municipal Art Gallery installations. But I did give up the heavy construction work in the 1990's due to a long illness and subsequent liver transplant, for which I am forever thankful to my Donor Family. I am doing very well now because ORGAN DONATION WORKS! Currently I am the Resident Set Designer for the Keegan Theatre Co. in Washington, DC ( www.keegantheatre.com ), serving as Designer, Master Carpenter, and Scenic Painter for more than 30 productions.
