Description

Taking my skill at the wheel as a starting point for sculptural work, I am pleased to offer large bottle and vase forms that exhibit minimal lines on a scale at which body references are more vivid. This newly-formed head of this bottle was wrapped in rope, her pelvis having already been softened by my careful hollowing of the supple porcelain. Post-fire, she stands quietly, collared by a \"turk\'s head\", an old nautical knot made of a continuous thread.
