Description

Limited edition of 75* pieces. The edition number and my name is scribed into the glaze. The Torso was modeled in clay and molded twice to achieve a refined and detailed finish. It was poured in ceramic slip, fired, and 5 coats of transparent glaze were applied. Embellished with orange lines gives the piece the dynamic and artistic flair. I have spent years trying to perfect the process of achieving a sleek and flawless surface of the ceramic body and glaze. I believe I have come as close as I can get, although my quest for perfection will be ongoing. The Torso shows dynamic energy, it is a very basic symbol of beauty to me. Elke The Torso is 8.5” tall and 5” wide. Designed and hand made by me, Elke. * The edition number includes the total of all colored glazed and uniquely embellished pieces.
