Limited edition of 75*. The number and my name is scribed into the glaze. The Tall Nude was modeled in clay, then molded twice to achieve a refined and detailed finish. She was poured in ceramic slip, then white glaze was applied. The Tall Nude "in-a-flash" was enhanced by hand applying oil paint on top of the glaze to create this one-of-a-kind piece. By exaggerating the light and shadow I transformed the Tall Nude into an abstract dynamic contemporay sculpture. I have spent years trying to perfect the process of achieving a sleek and flawless surface of the glaze. I believe I have come as close as I can get, although my quest for perfection will be ongoing. The Tall Nude is 18” tall and 4.5” wide. Designed and hand made by me, Elke. * The edition number includes the total of all colored glazed and uniquely embellished pieces.
