Description

I do a lot of kayaking and some of the areas I end up with have very large lily pads. One day I collected the lily pads with the intention of pressing them into clay and creating some nature-inspired forms like this jar. The dirty look was purposeful to reflect the colors int he lily-pads that had been collected. This look was achieved by rubbing iron oxide on the piece before glazing.
