When is the last time you looked Into someone’s eyes For more than 30 seconds During a conversation Or an intimate moment Or ever? Depression lodges itself in the lids Mania stirs itself in the eye And eyes tell a story A physical Gateway To the inside. The mental illness that rests Inside. As it sits outside On the face.
